The gas and fluid dynamics that drive the performance of a break or suppression device are modeled predictively by the Stress Outdoor® Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team of engineers and analysts. The results from various designs can be compared to each other in an optimization process before the first metal chip is cut in the prototyping process. CFD analysis allows an analyst to “zoom in” on areas of interest which are not visible or accessible to the designer that can affect performance – a process which would be impossible to achieve using standard prototyping techniques. The result is a faster time-to-market with improved reliability and performance.
